Starter Kit
What you need to get started
New to precious metals? Want to get the most out of your PMV, but not sure how? Start here! This starter kit provides a reference booklet, a scale, and caliper - everything you need to get started testing with your PMV.
Includes
AWS 600 Gram Scale

AWS is trusted across the precious metals industry for reliability and ease-of-use. The AWS 600 gram scale allows you to accurately test the weight of any sample up to 600 grams (about 20 ozt). Investors should always check the weight first. If a coin says it should be 1 ozt, it should weigh 1 ozt!
Bald Eagle Caliper

The Bald Eagle Caliper, with their digital readout and high accuracy, make it easy to check the thickness and diameter of samples up to 150mm long. Coins and bars are minted to very specific dimensions; always confirm that your piece is the right size.
Sigma Metalytics Coin Booklet

The Sigma Metalytics Coin Booklet gives new users all the info they need to test the most popular coins and bars on the market. Simply look up the coin you have in the booklet to find its expected size and weight, the right alloy setting for your PMV, and the best sensor to use.

When ordering, select the type of PMV you have from the option menu to ensure you receive a coin booklet customized to your device's options and sensors.
Safeguard Against All Types of Counterfeits

Counterfeiters can fake either the resistivity or the density of a coin or bar, but not both. The Starter Kit gives you all the tools and information necessary to test the most common and popular pieces on the market.
